31th of March: New on Net-A-Porter Today!

So I think I'm being a good blogger lately. An update yesterday, an update today.. Its all going good! I've actually scanned through Style.Com the last few days and found several things I'm going to write about so stick around! New on Net-a-Porter today is, among other great pieces, the Marchesa embellished corset dress that Blake Lively wore with nude pumps to the premiere of Where The Wild Things Are. I have yet to see that movie, but I'm going to!

...*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*...

Jessica Alba wore my favorite look from the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 RTW collection to the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival Party. She rocked this Proenza Schouler shift jacquard dress, but I would've loved to see her sport a different 'do. A pulled back ponytail for example; In my mind that would've given this look the fierceness it needs which Alba fails to deliver.
I LOVE  (!!!) this dress so much, I'm even considering borrowing money from my dad and work the whole summer just to be able to buy it. Its second on my wish list after the Alexander Wang Rocco mini studded bag, which for the record, I almost had him buy for me (as a gift!!)

UPDATE!!

I found out that J-Lo wore a different Marchesa dress which is also currently available at Net-a-Porter!

30th of March: Rock Your Socks Off

I've been so BUSY the last few weeks, I swear it's unbelievable. I blame my future hubby (not my word, his lol).  Anywho, I decided to dedicate this post to Hermès' Spring 2010 RTW shoes! I loved the sandals they did to those amazing tennis-inspired pieces. I love John Galliano, wether it is for Dior, Hermès, Givenchy or Galliano; He always finds way to make the collections his own, but still keeping the traditions of each House.

So, this is the first pair that caught my eye. I absolutely adore how cute and versatile it is.

These heels are fierce. The blue, the black, the leather and suede mix.. I love it.

These grey croc leather sandals are one of my faves. I love them.

These shoes are following two of the springs hottest trends; nude and croc leather. These come 2nd place on my lists of favorites.

These are my favorites. I love them. They are very versatile and can be worn with pretty much any color. I imagine this looking fabulous with a lavender cocktail dress or a turquoise top with light blue matching shorts. Pretty much any pastel colors I think.

Maybe something along the lines of this pink light chiffon dress from the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2010 RTW collection, or the green skirt/top ensemble from the Burberry Prorsum Spring 2010 RTW collection.

6th of March: Proenza Schouler S/S 2010!

I LOVED(!!) what Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough did for the Proenza Schouler Spring 2010 collection. I am in love with almost every single piece, as it's all very energetic and youthful and fun, but at the same time having that timeless look about it that all designers aim for. The collection consisted of a lot of bright neon prints, as well as colorful dresses covered in sequin and feathers. The collection was mainly mini dresses and skirts with sweaters, but there were also some dark blue blazers to go with the current trend that has struck the whole fashion world.

We wanted something young, something that felt fresh, so we looked to surfing and skating, the things we grew up on

-Lazaro Hernandez

And its obvious that I'm not the only one who's fallen for Proenza Schouler, this is just a selection of celebrities and socialites who's worn pieces from this collection.

Note: Emma Watson also wore two outfits from the Proenza Schouler Resort 2010 collection for the "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince"- promotional tour.

Kristen Stewart

|I think this was the only look that had K-Stew smiling out of all her outfits during the "Twilight: New Moon" promo tour. And to me, Proenza Schouler's quirkiness and Kristen's awkwardness seems like a match made in heaven|

6th of March: First blogday!

Another Saturday at home with two crazy puppies running around, attempting to kill each other... On my desk today I have a bunch of random sketches I've done earlier today, a few pens and pencils with an accompanying eraser, some plain sheets of paper, various photos and lots of notes splayed out over my desk and some of the wall in front of me. You see, whenever I see, hear or read something worth remembering, I have to write it down. Apparently, the human brain is only able to remember 7 things in its short-term memory, and I find a lot of random things worth remembering... Anywho, some dinosaur show on Nat-Geo is on on the tv and, thank god, the dogs are sleeping. I reckon I'll spend tonight at home, watching tv, playing with the dogs and chatting with my own Mr. M.

P.S: If you havent read "Last night I dreamed of peace" by Dang Thuy Tram, you will not understand that last part at all. Besides, if you havent, you really should.

I promise that the next post will actually be fashion-related! I know what I'm gonna write, I just have to actually write it first!

Next post: Proenza Schouler S/S 2010
